Community Facilitators appointed

As you know, Axbridge Action Group are trialling some changes to the use of Axbridge Square. They have just appointed three individuals, who will work together as community facilitators, to get feedback from all parts of Axbridge as to what residents and visitors would like to see in the future, to improve the balance between vehicles and pedestrians now, and in the future.

Barbara Wells, Liz Hamilton, and Sharon Anderson will work together to consult with the local community and visitors to Axbridge. They will collate all the feedback and the results will help identify what else can be done to further improve the balance between vehicles and pedestrians in this community.

Peter Harding of Axbridge Action Group said: “We were delighted to get such a big response from people interested in this role. We have appointed three highly motivated individuals who we believe will work well together to engage with all areas of the community, and with visitors to Axbridge.”

  1. I still think the suggestion of one way traffic is something that should tried , traffic going up Houlgate way & down west Street & high street.

  2. Thanks for your feedback Bob – we’re going to be talking all feedback into consideration as the Trial is only a part of looking at improving the Streets of Axbridge :)
